Critical Evaluation of Different Subject Matters

The Olympics just started. It was a grand opening. For sure it cost a lot. Participants all over the world marched proudly. Everyone had their eyes on this event. Despite all the happy crowds and cheers, a war broke out amidst this peaceful parade: Georgia vs. Russia. The story was that Georgia, in its efforts to regulate rebel movements, made assaults in South Ossetia which unfortunately had many Russian citizens. Russia, knowing this, points out that they need to protect their citizens, and that those who harm them will not go unpunished. Will this be another cold war? What will it contribute to the world's economy? Those countries are large suppliers of oil. For sure, small countries such as ours will also suffer the consequences. See full story at yahoo.

Talking about ICT. A new ranking has been released by the World Economic Forum at http://www.weforum.org/pdf/gitr/2008/Rankings.pdf. According to their report, Denmark is still the most networked economy in the world (for 2 consecutive years). The report was subdivided into 4 parts:

1. Findings of the Networked Readiness Index (NRI) 2007–2008, together with a number of insightful essays on selected issues of networked readiness, with a specific focus on how it can foster innovation.
   
2. Country/Regional case studies showcasing best policies and practices in fostering networked readiness
3. Detailed profiles for each of the 127 economies covered in the Report, presenting a comprehensive snapshot of each economy’s current networked readiness status and allowing for international and historical comparison on specific variables or components of the NRI.
   
4. Detailed data tables for each of the 68 variables composing the NRI
   

What happened to India? I guess one of the reasons would be the language. The global economy would prefer communication between those with English-speaking entities with familiar accents than those who speak English but have their native accents dominating. Well, it's still not too late for those who want to transact with India. One alternative would be to acquire the services for Hindi translation. Get IAFL or any other translation company. After all, we can do business as long as we understand each other. :D.

It's really amazing how money can be wiped out so easily. Specially with health problems. Just recently, my grandmother got hospitalized. It's nearly a month now. Our hospital bills skyrocketed. I don't know how we are going to get the money to pay for it. All I know is we need some credit or loan or something. We have exhausted all our credit cards. Maybe we should try the credit card offers online. Is this true? No annual fee? Hmmm... Maybe I should try to look for the Best Credit Card Offer. Or maybe I should just choose one from their Top 10 Credit Cards. Either way, We badly need credit right now...
